• If your budget is low or you simply want to amaze everybody with a great bouquet created with your own hands, just continue to read.

When the bride chooses to create her own bouquet nobody expects something spectacular because they think only a professional bouquet can be perfect. But we can prove they are wrong if we follow some pieces of advice when making our own bouquet.

The first thing you need to do is research. Try to find pictures with bouquets in magazines or on the internet, gather information about the best combinations and colors and visit the local florist for a closer view.

Note which colors and flowers will be used for the wedding arrangements and of course include your favorite flowers and colors in the bridal bouquet. After you decided what you are going to use and what colors, take a piece of paper and a pencil and start drawing your idea; it doesn’t have to be a sophisticated draw just something that will guide you when you will create the bouquet.

But you can’t start making a bouquet without a bouquet holder so you either make one or buy one. I advice you to buy one because they are not very expensive and it takes a lot of time and patience to make a good one. Start placing the flowers by following the pattern you drew, if you couldn’t find some of the flowers, buy something similar and insert them at the end to see how they fit. If they don’t fit use something else.

An important advice is to never cut the stem at the exact length you want because you will surely change your opinion after the bouquet is made and if you want it longer you can’t do it anymore. Chose your greenery carefully and if you want to create an elegant cascade bouquet the most appropriate greenery is ivy.

When you finished inserting the flowers into the bouquet holder take a ribbon and carefully wrap the bottom of the bouquet with it and: Voila! Your bridal bouquet is perfect and everybody will be green with envy.

Choose to create the bouquet a day before the wedding so that the flowers will be fresh and good looking; also try to order more than the exact number of flowers when making the bouquet. Some flowers will break, others will not look very good so it is best to be prepared and order more than you need.

Try to follow the pattern and observe the average number of flowers which are used in bridal bouquet, this way you won’t exaggerate and the bouquet will look more elegant and less extravagant. If you follow these pieces of advice I guarantee that your wedding bouquet will be perfect and you will be admired for your patience and dedication. As long as you will create it with love there is no way to get it wrong. And even if you do get it wrong is not the style that counts, it’s the originality so: be proud!
